Coordination and Control in Handheld Mobile Computers for Education:
Identifying Cross-cutting Factors

ICLS PreConference WorkshopTuesday, June 26, 2006
Bloomington, Indiana

A substantial number of exciting projects are exploring the design of
handheld mobile computing for learning. Come to this workshop if you
are a: creator of classroom activities, analyst of coordination
frameworks, and/or an architect of computer support systems. The
purpose is to uncover the range of needs, requirements, and
assumptions in different projects. We will do this by engaging in
structured walk-throughs of different existing and imagined
activities, and discussing their implicit and explicit social and
technical assumptions.

Organizers:
Deborah Tatar, VT, tatar at vt.edu
Charlie Patton, SRI International, charles.patton at sri.com
Yvonne Rogers, Indiana State, yrogers at indiana.edu
Tony Hall, Nottingham University, tonylsri at hotmail.co.uk
