Dear Colleagues,

On the final day of the mLearn 2006 conference, time has been set aside
in the program for a new category of presentation that we’ve entitled
*Papers on the Fly*. There will be space available for between 14 and 21
presentations.

*Papers on the Fly* are short paper presentations (15 minutes) related
to *leading/cutting edge research on mobile learning* as well as
*reports on research currently in progress*.

We encourage you to send an email abstract <mailto:mlearn at athabascau.ca>
of no more than 500 words proposing a *‘Paper on the Fly’* presentation.
Please include a title for the presentation as well as the relevant
contact information for the presenter(s) including name(s),
organization, email address, etc. Decisions regarding acceptance will be
made as abstracts are submitted *up to October 15th * and as space permits.

An edited peer reviewed /Book of Conference Proceedings/ will be
published following mLearn 2006, which will include a mixture of the
most outstanding short and long papers from the conference. Papers
deemed *‘Paper on the Fly’* will be considered as short papers for
potential inclusion in the proceedings. The /Conference Proceedings/
will contain an international book number (ISBN) to allow future
worldwide library reference. The ‘Book’ will be available in both print
and online formats and should be available for distribution 6 months
after the conference date. The deadline for the paper submission is
November 15th and more information is available at
http://www.mlearn2006.org/participate/guidelines.php.
